As a nurse, I was so worried about their health while I was watching the obesity who walking with difficulty in the Perth shopping centre and I was shocked that the rate of obesity is high in Perth . If you were in many cities in china ,you would puzzled by one question: Why do most Chinese stay in average figure, rarely to see overweight person in the street, even though there are plenty of various restaurants full of everywhere in the city? If you went to the food market which most Chinese families bought the food ingredients from there, you might would get the answer .The vegetables and fruits stalls always take up most of the market area of the market, it is much larger than fishes and meats area. If you walked into a common Chinese family to see what their dinner look like ,you would see the meats only are about one-fifth or sixth of the total food . If you checked their food cupboard or refrigerate, you probably can't find sweets such as candy or chocolate . So ,I think, less sugary food and meats, more cooking at home maybe are some important causes to keep one in normal weight. Perth residents really need do something to reduce the obesity rate.

I have been in Perth for five months and I have found the big difference between Hangzhou and Perth was public transport. Hangzhou is about 3 times larger than Perth, but people live more closer than Perth, so build a well-run public transportation system is best choice for local government ,many people in Hangzhou can live without their own car. Public transport in Hangzhou is very convenience and affordable for them.Actually,my apartment in Hangzhou is only 5 minutes by walk to the nearest metro entrance. But even though I have't got the Australia driving license yet and I am suffering lots troubles in going out right now, I still like Perth road condition much more than in Hangzhou, because the traffics are always unobstructed!
My feelings exactly. Here, in Australia, people eat far too much fast food, not enough fresh vegetables and too much sugar. It's a real problem...
