Mid-Autumn Festival

Mid-Autumn also was named Moon Festival.Thus it can be seen this festival is related to moon.It is said that a beautiful fairy who was want to keep young forever ate a medicine.Then she flew to moon and lived in moon alone.Her husband lived in earth.Finally,they are never meet again.... That's a story about this festival. This festival is date from Tang dynasty and is celebrated in the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month every year. It's a public holiday in China. That evening, whole family eat moon cakes,enjoy looking at the bright moon, and talking.It's a day for family get-together.Mid-Autumn Festival is one of four major traditional festival in China.
